Faith and Hope

What is the difference between faith and hope? It's been bugging my mind for a while. Faith breeds hope but does hope breed faith? I don't really know honestly. But what I do know is, hope breeds expectations and expectations lead to disappointment. Some may say hope breeds eternal misery. Faith and hope are used interchangeably. Is it ignorance? I still don't know. Faith is believing in something with or without proof while hope is a feeling of desire or expectation for something to happen. Both are emotions though one has action behind it. So what keeps me pushing? Is it faith that things will get better or hope that things will change? I guess the answer is found at night. After the day is spent and done and it feels like nothing has changed, if you feel that tomorrow will be a better day then congratulations, you have faith. But if you feel even a twinge of disappointment, then you've been carrying around hope. I'm not saying one is bad and the other good, I...

X marks the spot

Now, can you find it? Depends on where it is. Many before you have tried but the path proved to be too treacheorous. It unfortunately consumed them. The one who wants everything ends up with nothing. What is it? you ask. Read the title. Photo Credit- Vecteezy

Photo Credit- Bob Vila The sound of rain when you are tucked in a warm bed. The crackle and warmth of the fire in the chimney during winter. The laughter of children in a playground from a distance. Watching your favorite comedy on the sofa. A cup of fresh hot coffee. Petting your dog. Someone calling because they thought of you. Finding random snacks in your backpack that your mom placed for you. A conversation with an open minded stranger. Being told "I'm proud of you" when you are having a hard time. Doing something for someone who didn't have the ability to do it and watching their face light up. Telling a joke and people laugh. A loved one smiling at first glance of seeing you; there's something about knowing your presence makes someone feel good that is comforting. Basking in the morning sun that is just warm enough. The first gulp of cold water during an extremely hot day. A cheat meal. Looking back at your past and seeing how far you've come. Realiz...
